Camp Horizon
Since 1965, Easter Seals Camp Horizon has brightened the lives of over 80,000 Albertans with disabilities and serious illnesses.
Easter Seals Camp Horizon is the leader in special needs camp in Southern Alberta. Located in Kananaskis, the camp specializes in providing programs for children with serious illnesses such as cancer and diabetes and disabilities such as cerebral palsy. Every year over 1000 children from across Alberta experience an opportunity of a lifetime at Easter Seals Camp Horizon.
The Calgary 24 hour relay is run in support of Easter Seal's Camp Horizon. Easter Seal’s Camp Horizon is a residential program that offers kids and adults with disabilities the opportunity to participate in challenging programs such as rafting, climbing, swimming, camping, archery and high and low ropes challenge courses.
In short, this camp provides kids with an opportunity to spend time with others dealing with similar circumstances. For many this is a priceless chance to partake in every day camp activities that so many of us take for granted.
We encourage you to hear from the campers themselves just how important Camp Horizon is.
